Mugen Intake

The Mugen intake system enhance the flow of the intake air successfully. This is done by eliminating the initial limited system and raising the volume of intake air. This gives an infinite element in total engine tuning. This is made possible by fitting the complete intake system which include the air filter, air box and the ducting.

Mugen Intake Features

This lowers the air intake pressure and leads to more intake of air which means more horsepower & torque over the RPM band particularly in the high cam region of the VTEC system, notably the Type R intake system. The internal air filter is conical in structure, and located in the end of the duct. Besides, the funnel is of light weight aluminium make to F1 specifications from an aluminium billet. Besides, the first part before the air intake duct also has the shape of a funnel to swallow cool air which is denser. The air box and the ducting is of high quality hand-laid fiberglass that meets set production procedures on length, volume, form and material. The filter is of cylindrical type that has very low aero dynamic drag or air flow resistance. Moreover, it does not have a resonator for the air box to hence attaining a particular sound of the incoming air.
